This year the CHECC (Council of Higher Education Caving Clubs) bash is being held in the Dales, and since it coincides with a GUPA trip there’s no excuse not to go!
It’s the weekend of 26-28 November 2010.
The event is always sober and restrained, and if you believe that you’ll believe anything.
Take a look at the CHECC website here for full details.
If you fancy a pint or to exchange tales of derring-do come
and meet us in the pub. Anyone with an interest in caving is welcome.
We meet on Thursday evenings in the Uisge Beatha on Woodlands Rd in Glasgow: the pub website can be seen here. We may be in any of the rooms depending on how full it is; if you can’t find us ask the staff.
We are usually there from 9pm.
Outwith termtime the old lags who are still in Glasgow are usually there but it’s worth checking with us first.
The nearest subway station to the Uisge Beatha is Kelvinbridge and there’s a map here: View Larger Map
everyone in GUPA say woo!
Both Dan and Kath, and David and Heidi, have announced their engagements! Not all four to each other, obviously.
In case anyone doesn’t know them, Dan and Kath are in South Africa (that’s Dan on the left of the ‘club news’ picture).
Congratulations to all of them from the club!
If anyone else is thinking of getting married let us know…
